There are concrete roads to Haad Rin, but we have warned you that the concrete roads are not in the best condition and unless you are a good motorcycle rider then don't try to get to Had Rin, as nearly all accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorbike at the 7-11 at Baan Tai and pay about 60 Baht for a taxi over the mountains to Had Rin. But, as Koh Phangan has so much to offer than just being a Party Place, the island has also a less noisy side, having the great advantage of a secluded resort with long walks, relaxation therapy and many other activities. Kho Phangan's weather is almost always beautiful. Clear days and a refreshing sea breeze are the norm. For the purists, end of December to late of March is the perfect tropical island weather. There are many ways to explore the island, you can take a local taxi cab for a small amount of Baht,or if you feel really adventurist you can rent a jeep or crossbike and do it in your own time.
